TopGun Shop Contest at the CharmcitySkatepark in Baltimore! December 21st.2008!
Shops from all over the nation have been invited to the Charmcity Skatepark in Baltimore for Top Gun shop contest at the Charmcity Skatepark on December 21.2008. As the Charmcity owner I wanted to keep the judging as independent and as fair as possible. We have world renouned Kris Markovich from Given Skateboards and AJ Kohn from One Skateboards as our celebrity panel. AJ Kohn was heavily involved with the now defunct "Beast of the East" contest series which held some serious credability in the hearts of hardcore skateboarders up and down the east coast!
Any shop can enter. Teams will consist of five riders and two alternates. Shops with less then five riders can enter as well, accomodations will be made. There will be ten minute team jams where all the riders from one team will skate. We feel jam format will put less pressure on indivduals and let the team riders thrive skating together. It makes sense that a shop contest should have all the guys riding together, judging the team rather then one individual.
Entry Fees are $150 per shop NO EXCEPTIONS. Pre-registration is preffered but you can register the day of the contest. Pre-register by emailing Jason Chapman at charmcityinc@msn.com or by calling Charmcity at 1.410.327.7909!
Bros, Schmos and Pros are acceptable. Practice and Registration start at 12:30 the contest will start at 3:00! The park has under gone exstensive rennovations specifically for this contest! It should be a great time. Bring your team out and see if your are a TopGun or a Goose!
Benji Galloway was scheduled to judge but is going to be unable to make it. So POSITIVE skateboards Rodney Jones will be taking over his portion of the judging! Should be an awesome time!
